Are you planning a wedding ceremony that celebrates your love story and reflects you and your partner’s values? Look no further! As a wedding celebrant, I specialise in working with you both to craft customised, co-created ceremonies.
Interfaith and inclusive
Every couple is unique, and your wedding ceremony should reflect your individuality. You can include whatever helps deepen the loving connection between the two of you, and with your wider community. From your promises or vows (I can help you write them) to the rituals, each element can be tailored to express your love and commitment. There’s almost nothing that you have to include. Often the most memorable wedding ceremonies are ones where the couple do something unique that expresses their own particular connection – so let your imagination run free!
We had an incredibly special day thanks to Chris’ thoughtful approach to our wedding ceremony. We told Chris that we were looking for an interfaith ceremony which would acknowledge both of our families’ religious backgrounds and he was very accommodating, going out of his way to understand the traditions and cultural aspects. Having lost someone close to us recently, Chris made a special effort to include them in the ceremony, which
our family were touched by. It was really lovely.– Yasmin & Jack
Love is everything!
As a OneSpirit Interfaith Minister, I’m happy to work with people from any spiritual background – or none. We can draw in whatever symbols, readings, songs and music are meaningful to you and resonate with your family background and culture. We could incorporate traditional Scottish elements like a handfasting, or drinking from a two-handled quaich. I’m delighted to work with couples of all genders and sexualities – love is everything! I’m also authorised to include the legal elements that make the ceremony valid in terms of the law.
This can be a time to gather your whole clan: both your families and all your friends. Or you might prefer an intimate wee micro-wedding (often it’s called an “elopement“), with just the two of you and a couple of witnesses (you’ll need them to sign the form).

If you’ve already done the legal part, we can have a moving symbolic ceremony. If a wedding is not for you we could celebrate a civil partnership. Or if you’ve already been married for years, you might like to have a vow-renewal ceremony.
Sustainable and eco-friendly
Many couples are mindful of the environmental impact of their wedding, and looking for ways to celebrate sustainably. I am passionate about offering eco-friendly wedding ceremonies that honour your commitment to the planet. Together, we can explore options such as using locally-sourced flowers, biodegradable confetti, sustainable travel, using local suppliers, and minimising waste throughout the event. Your wedding will not only be beautiful but also leave a lighter footprint on the earth.
Connecting with the natural world
Scotland has an amazing range of beautiful and romantic wedding venues – but imagine exchanging your vows surrounded by the wild beauty of our natural world.
Outdoor ceremonies are my speciality, and I love creating memorable experiences that connect you with nature. In Scotland, we have the flexibility to perform a legally-valid wedding almost anywhere: on the beach, deep in a forest or high in the hills. I will help you find the perfect location and design a ceremony that harmonises with the environment. (Just remember that our Scottish weather can sometimes be a little challenging! You might need your walking boots under your wedding gown…)
Nature has a profound ability to enhance the emotional and spiritual aspects of a wedding ceremony. As well as your friends and family, the more-than-human world can be witness to your commitment: you can speak your vows in presence of our green and fragile planet, the deep clear water, the tall green trees, the birds soaring in the air, the solid mountain rock beneath our feet. My goal is to ensure that your ceremony not only celebrates and your love, but also fosters a deep connection with the natural world.
If you are ready to embark on the journey of designing a wedding ceremony that is uniquely yours, I am here to guide and support you every step of the way. Contact me today to start discussing and planning your ceremony.
Your perfect wedding ceremony awaits – together, let’s create something magical!
